THE STUDIO

A Brazilian practice.
Open to the world.

Vertentes is a multidisciplinary Brazilian studio for architecture, interior design and urban design, led by Adriano Couto, an architect and urban planner trained at the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP), with academic experience at the University of Porto.

Based in Piracicaba and São Paulo, the studio works across São Paulo state and throughout Brazil. We are also open to conversations about international projects.

Our portfolio spans homes, workplaces, schools and public spaces, bringing together architectural thinking, technical development and close attention to each site's character.

DESIGN APPROACH

Brazilian architecture,
attentive to climate.

Every project begins with its setting. Orientation, daylight, shade, natural ventilation, landscape and material choices inform the design from the outset.

These decisions support comfort and energy-conscious architecture while responding to the particular character of each place. The result is not a formula, but a considered relationship between building, climate and everyday life.
